Some projects are especially enjoyable, and this was one of them: designing and making the new kitchen aprons and jackets for the team at Miravent Bodas, one of the go-to venues for weddings and celebrations near Barcelona.
When a kitchen team puts on a uniform, it doesn't just need to be comfortable — it needs to hold up through a full service on their feet, move with them, and at the same time convey the same polished image as the rest of the venue.
For Miravent we made black aprons with embroidery in the brand's corporate red and the restaurant's logo, with finishes built to withstand the pace of a busy kitchen. Alongside the aprons, we also made jackets for the whole team, making sure each garment offered real comfort as well as a uniform image.
"A work garment has to hold two things at once: the body wearing it for eight hours, and the image of the brand it represents."
For kitchen uniforms I always test the fabrics with real movements first — bending, reaching, turning — before confirming the final pattern. A beautiful uniform that's uncomfortable on the second shift hasn't done its job.
From the first contact, working with Miravent was one of those easy collaborations: warm, well communicated, with a team that knew exactly what it needed. When they told me how much they loved the jackets, I felt that very specific satisfaction of seeing a garment made here become part of the daily life of a business I admire.
Miravent, located in Vilanova del Vallès, stands out for its gardens, its event spaces, and a carefully crafted Mediterranean cuisine using quality produce — you can learn more on their website.

"A good uniform isn't noticed. It's felt."
