Atelier Yvicor was founded in 2020 by Yvi and Patricia, mother and daughter, with the idea of designing women's accessories and clothing for babies and children with a style of their own. We are a made-to-measure sewing atelier in Sant Feliu de Codines, Barcelona, where we design, pattern and make every piece by hand.
Where the name comes from
Yvicor combines "Yvi", the founder's name, with "cor" (heart, in Catalan), a reference to her daughter Patricia. It is, literally, the name of the two people behind every garment that leaves the atelier.
How we work
Every piece goes through the same process: pattern design, cutting and sewing, with attention to every detail from the choice of fabric to the final finish. We started out designing accessories and baby clothing, and over the years we've expanded into high-precision alterations, workwear for businesses (tablecloths, jackets and uniforms) and personalised pieces embroidered with names, initials or bespoke details.
2020 to today
We started in 2020, a year when many people rediscovered the value of handmade things. Since then we've worked with clients from Barcelona and the surrounding area: altering garments, making new pieces, and giving a second life to clothing with sentimental value, such as a mother's or grandmother's wedding dress.
