We work with mermaid, princess, A-line, boho and other cuts. Before we start, we assess each dress on its own, because the alteration it needs depends on its silhouette and construction, there's no single process that works for all of them.
Why we recommend 6-8 weeks' notice
For party or graduation dresses we usually work with shorter timeframes. For wedding dresses we recommend booking 6-8 weeks in advance, especially if the dress needs several fittings or corsetry adjustments: that kind of work isn't done in a single session, and it's worth leaving margin before the date so nothing is rushed.
Corsetry and back adjustments
Corset and back adjustments are usually among the most time-consuming on a wedding dress, because they affect the garment's inner structure, not just the visible fabric. That's one of the reasons it's worth booking ahead and leaving room for several fittings instead of trying to solve everything at once.
After the wedding: transforming the dress
Many brides come back to our workshop months or even years after the wedding to transform the dress into another garment. We preserve the sentimental value of the fabric and give it a second life, instead of leaving it unused in a wardrobe.

Ideally between 6 and 8 weeks before, especially if the dress needs several fittings or corsetry adjustments. The sooner you bring it, the more calmly we can work on it.
